DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS
EQUIPMENT & RECEIVING
To maximize a successful delivery experience, please follow the below instructions and recommendations. Please ensure the on-site team keeps a professional inventory and storage schedule during this time. Cost to replace lost or missing items from site will be at the cost of ownership:
Innov8 is not responsible for shipping delays from port or vendor distribution centers to the project site.
Delivery Guidelines: Kindly ensure that all necessary equipment is available on-site throughout the duration of the project. This may require renting the equipment for a period of one or more months to guarantee availability when the product arrives. Innov8 will not be responsible for equipment rental or equipment delivery fees should you require it or the product is delayed. Please ensure the equipment is always at the site during this process. Sometimes products may be severely delayed so please budget for extended equipment rental costs.
Forklifts: Please ensure that you have a forklift with extended forks at all times. This is necessary to receive and offload products promptly. Failure to have a forklift on site may lead to the refusal of delivery or delay in offloading the product, which may result in delay fees. Ownership will be invoiced for these fees. Furthermore, forklifts ensure safe offloading as manual offloading can damage heavy materials and fatigue crews, leading to careless handling.
Labor: It is essential to have labor available throughout the project or delivery phase, regardless of the time. Generally, for container deliveries, it is recommended to have at least four team members, and for smaller deliveries, two or more members. Please note that Innov8 cannot guarantee estimated delivery days or timing, and trucking delays are common. Therefore, it is crucial to have a team ready in case the product arrives early or is severely delayed. Sometimes by days or even weeks. Please also note that Innov8 will not be liable for any labor or remobilizing costs due to early deliveries or delays. Innov8 will not be liable for construction delays due to late deliveries.
Pallets: If you are expecting a container delivery, it is important to have at least 20 pallets available per container. This will facilitate the transportation of the products from the container to their new location at site. Additionally, pallets will keep the boxes off the ground and prevent any potential moisture or water damage. It is essential that you do not stack pallets on top of your FF&E boxes, as this may result in damage and void any warranty.
Pull Chains: To receive medium or large product deliveries, you need access to pull chains. Pull chains are typically required for container or partial truck deliveries. These chains will be used to pull heavy items from the back of the container or truck to the front, where the forklift can reach them. However, please make sure not to use the chains directly on the box. The product must already be on a pallet or crate. Pulling boxes with chains will damage the
Pallet Jack: All job sites must have pallet jacks available for easy transportation of products from the delivery location to the storage location. Pallet jacks will also be handy once the product is ready to be installed.
Hand Truck or Dolly: All job sites must have a hand dolly available for easy transportation of products from the delivery location to the storage location. Hand dolly will also be handy once the product is ready to be installed.
Carpet Boom: If you have ordered or scheduled delivery of carpet, it is essential to have a carpet boom present at the site throughout the project. The carpet boom must be available during delivery and for the entire duration of the project to ensure that relocating the carpet is carried out safely and without any damage. If there is no carpet boom available, the offloading of the carpet may not be approved. Offloading the carpet without a boom will result in the voiding of all carpet warranties. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that your carpet boom can accommodate rolls up to 15’ in length. Additionally, please consult with your equipment rental facility to confirm that the forklift is rated for the carpet weight due to the long cantilever length.
Storage: (Important) To ensure your product is safely stored and that its warranty remains valid, proper storage at the site is mandatory. All items should be kept in a dry, secure location, preferably one that can be locked. Temperatures should not exceed 95° or drop below 35° as the expansion and contraction of wooden items can cause damage and void warranties. In cases of extreme weather, the product should be stored at a third-party warehouse facility or in a temperature controlled interior area at the site. For every truckload or container, please make sure to have one 40’ and one 20’ storage container available for storage.
